CARTO announced as a Google Cloud Edge partner for Communications Service Providers

Last year, Google Cloud announced a new initiative bring partner solutions to the network edge, enabling a wide range of clients in industries such as CPG, Retail, and Manufacturing to accelerate their businesses with cloud capabilities at the edge - partnering with telcos across the globe.

This week, we’re delighted to announce that as part of Google Cloud’s expansion of this initiative - CARTO has been listed as a strategic partner, using Anthos and Google’s edge network as well as its partners’ networks, to continue to move the needle in providing high-speed 5G connectivity.

Joining a select list of ISV partners with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics, CARTO will bring its cloud-native geospatial platform to the edge on Google Cloud, enabling communications services providers (CSPs) companies to carry out spatial analysis and develop map-centric applications.

Several leading CSPs (including Vodafone, Telefonica, T-Mobile, and Singtel) use our platform for use cases such as data monetization, site selection, network optimization, and smart cities management. Now, thanks to our integration with Google BigQuery and our spatial extension - CSPs using Google Cloud will be able to accelerate their use of Location Intelligence and deliver more spatial insight to different business units such as marketing and operations, who previously weren’t leveraging the abundant location data available at the edge.

A growing number of CSPs are looking for a modern spatial analytics solution to streamline operations and generate new revenue streams. By partnering with Google Cloud as an edge partner, we can enable telcos to deliver those solutions significantly faster and more efficiently than they could before.
