London media outlet CityA.M. used CARTO maps to investigate the U.K's most expensive living locales. According to data from Halifax, average house prices in this and six other London boroughs have shot up by more than 50 percent per square meter since 2009.
But while every borough in London has seen an increase, many other areas are still well below the levels they were at five years ago.
While data for some regions was unavailable, data journalists mapped price changes between 2009 and 2014 for all those on record.
CARTO choropleth and infowindows give readers easy access to demographic data and streamline stories from data-heavy reporting.
